Hello everyone,
CFS has been a friend of mine for over four years now. The majority of my symptoms have subsided and I am work to work and almost back to normal, except for my brain function which is still at around 50% of normal, as well as some occasional moderate fatigue/stress.
For a few weeks I dosed myself on large amounts of samE and the brain fog lifted completely. I could play mental gymnastics once more and more importantly I starting feeling real emotions again for the first time in years. My mood was no longer flat and I actually got excited about something!
Low & behold two weeks later my miracle cure wore off and I am back to my functioning but flat former self. I tried upping the does of sam-E to 1600mg per day but this is way to expensive for my budget and didnt work as well anyway.
Anyone have any strategies for alternate meds that may give me my mental energy and creativity back? Some of the strategies Ive researched include:
1) DL Phenylalanine + Tyrosine + SamE + TMG + Phosphatidyl Serine
2) Prozac, Adrafinil, Zyprexa (thanks to John)
3) Edronax (tyrying this now but my brain fog is worse and my sex life has taken a dive)
4) Any of the following Risperdal, Amisulpride
Adrafinil, Ritalin , Adderal. Not sure of these are a good idea as I dont like the idea of getting on amphetamines (I took them recreationally along time ago with bad effects)Which of these would people recommend? Would someone life to add their recipes into the mix?
Any feedback would be fab.
