Comming off Buprenorphine

Hi everyone
Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can come off Buprenorphine.
This is because UK doctors can not prescribe Buprenorphine as an antidepressant.
It really helps my depression, at least partially.
I have managed to get hold of it but I don't think I can indefinately. So I have to come off it before I am forced into cold turky.
I have tried lowering the dose (only 1mg per day) but I feel totally s**t.
I have also tried replacing it with Tramadol with no success.
