I had been OK taking 75mg of generic nortriptyline for quite a while. However, my pharmacy filled the prescription with another preparation two weeks ago. I don't know the names of the manufacturers, but there were differences in the size and color of the capsules, despite the new ones being labelled as 25mg. By the end of the first week on the new preparation, I felt noticeably worse. I suspected the new generic as being the reason. So, I simply raised the dosage to 100mg. Problem solved.
