> I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to stop you from pursuing Marplan. It's just that when I lived in D.C. two years ago my doctor wasn't able to get it and so that is why we went with Parnate. You might want to check with pharmacies in your area to see if you can obtain it.

As I've always said, I've been relying on Parnate for 20 years. Just this past week, my anxiety was very bad so I got to thinking, "what if the Parnate was pooping out?" I spoke to my former pdoc in New York and raised the question of poopout. He also concurred that the Parnate was still doing its job, but if I'd ever want/have to switch, I would do so with another AD in the MAOI class. After looking at some comparisons, I thought that Marplan would be better than Nardil for me.
I guess most people would leave decisions about what drug to switch to, to the last minute, after one drug failed, and . . .some people might think I was junping the gun, but I always like to know about viable alternatives ahead of time.
