The closest I have gotten to an affirmative answer were posts from people who had read of or heard of other people getting reactions from such and such a food. Never has anyone responded who actually had a food-induced hypertensive crisis while on an MAOI. They just don't seeem to happen very often.

I've taken parnate and nardil and eaten everything you're not supposed to(except maybe broiled liver) and i've never felt sick. I think the real danger is in mixing medications with maois. I've heard of people who have been in car accidents and given sedatives and went into comas because the ambulance responders didn't know about the maoi.
I think you're just one of the lucky ones who isn't very sensitive to the tyramine issues. Plenty of other people aren't as lucky. As for comas from ambulances, I think the medication they were given was probably something besides sedatives as they're not contraindicated with MAOIs. It's best to wear a medic alert bracelet or necklace when on an MAOI. Hopefully the medics would check for that before administering medication.
It's good to know that you had no problems on the MAOIs.
