I have taken Stims since being a teenage"Hippie",back when you went out and"scored"anything that was illegal or that would be percieved as mind-altering.That,s what hippies did.(At least, the ones that I hung out with.)I grew out of that phase and got married, cut the hair, went to work, etc. One thing I did not forget was how different I felt when ever I took"Speed"(Dexies,Black Beauties, etc.)All through school,I always had concentration problems, sitting still, not talking, all the classic ADD signs, but was never diagnosed, only punished for being"bad".Flash Forward 25 years.I finally end up diagnosed with ADHD and given Stims.Tried Ritalin,Provogil,Adderrall, then Dexedrine.I now take Dexedrine 30mg x 2 every day. After about 14 days of it,I start to get really tired and cranky,I think the side-effects start getting the best of me.I,ve begun taking the Dex for 3 weeks on,1 week off. This keeps me from burning out and getting an out-of-control tolerance to it.I,m self-employed,so during the first few days of that 4th week,I stay crashed out to build myself back up.After a few days,I,m OK,at least for another few days,I can start back on the Dex and feel half-decent for another few weeks. This pattern works best for my situation, most of the time, but I do fear the tolerance and long-term effects of constant Stim use.Festus
