remar, I, too, am weaning off Cymbalta. Ilm doing it slowly after reading the Posts on Effexor. Still I'm having brain zaps, etc. I also take benzos, so at least I sleep at night. I don't know where to go from here with AD's. Maybe I don't need one and having been on them they make you depressed coming off them? I just don't know. I have gone from happy, working, to miserable on disability since taking the first one 7 years ago. They certainly haven't helped me, but I would be the first to go on anything that would restore me to the person I was before. Relationships with family, etc are bad, it's an endless spiral. Did you have success with any other AD's? How long have you needed one and if I might ask for what DX. Thanks, and I hope you do well. Phillipa
