Well I have been reading the effects of alcohol in the body, 'how-stuffs-works'is a good source, and in essence alcohol affects directly the neuro-transmitters of the brain by inhibiting their interaction or communication. And Celexa stimulates the seratonin reuptake, which is one of the neurotransmitters of the brain. Therefore, even if you have produce an abundant amount of seratonin in your brain because of the Celexa, the alcohol can simply wash them away, thereby reducing the potency of the drug.
