I am currently taking:
Parnate 60mg
nortriptyline 75mg
Lamictal 300mg
Abilify 10mgdoxycycline 200mg - Don't ask.
I am experiencing a small increase in energy. This is probably nothing more than an amphetamine-like effect from the Parnate. There is no true antidepressant effect. I will say this, though. In retrospect, I can see how imipramine 300mg was blunting my cognition. I am happy to be rid of it - for now.I am contemplating trying mifepristone therapy. It involves taking this cortisol receptor antagonist for 7-10 days. If by the end of therapy there is an antidepressant response, it is supposed to persist beyond the point the drug is discontinued. I guess the idea is that this treatment results in a resetting of the HPA axis. Weird, I know. I'm hoping that this therapy is sort of like ECT in that there might be a need only for an occasional maintenance course.
