Hi Ed,

I took Sibutramine and oh! boy, what a medication!!.

First day I was stimulated and felt very good and thought that is the one : Antidepressant+No weight gain!! but.....

next few days I became more and more agitated, irritated and I would scream and shout for any little thing.

I was a walking bomb!!(not unlike Milnacipran).....

I added Fluoxetine to smooth my temper and a benzo but nothing!...

I think I stayed on it for maybe 2-3 monthes..
I do not know how my family survived me!!

I think I lost maybe 1-2 kilos!!....but what is worse I developed an abnormal arrithmyia which made me discontinue immediatley.

Once I stopped, the nightmare stopped, but arrythmiya(spelling!!) continued and I consulted a cardio and he diagnosed me with ventriqular arrythmia and I took veerapamil and tenormin for few monthes then stopped, and gradually and thank God, this disorder stopped.

For me,this medication proved a total faliure for weight loss and depression, and dangerous as it triggered agression and life- threatining as it certainly did harm to my otherwise perfectly healthy heart.(You know I tried lots of TCAs and NEVER had the slightest heart problem).
IMOHO this is a very expensive drug with little proven benefits and lots of risks, and, frankly, I do not hear about it...
Just my experience...

Best regards,

Adam.
