valium better than SSRI

Posted by appadoo on December 20, 2004, at 21:13:21

I have been on SSRI for a better part of two years and tried most of them however when I was confronted with a anxious moment I felt uncomfortable.
When I went to see my pdc for my refill for concerta as i have ADHD as asked him that I do not think the SSRI are working. So he gave me valium to use when I need to.I took it when I had my first date and now I have a girlfriend. The SSRI never gave me that affect.
Maybe my problem was no so much depression but anxiety.I do not think the amphatamines make me anxious since I have been on them for a year and on the SSRI for 2 years. One odd thing here in Australia most doctors prescribe valium and reluctant to give me Xanax.I prefer the Xanax because it leave my system in 8 hrs instead of few days with valium.I am worried if I took them every day toxitity will build up.Don't Dr know this.Mum takes Activan which I think is another good benzo but I think its effectiveness has worn of from mum because she refuses to increase the dosage eventhough she has been on 1mg for years
