effexor withdrawal - sweating anyone?

i've been off effexor now completely for about 2 weeks (it has been replaced by pamelor). when i started decreasing the effexor, down to about 37.5 per day, i started getting hot flashes late in the afternoon and sweating profusely. now that i've been off for two weeks, i thought it would go away but it hasn't. any thoughts/similar experiences?
