Hi. The tingling is normal. Has to do with inhibition of an enzyme that causes an elevated level of CO2 in the extremities. It's irritating, but harmless and will go away as soon as you stop taking it. Not sure about the itching, I didn't get that. I felt pretty weird overall while dosing up, but as soon as I got stabilized at 100mg I hardly noticed any side effects. It may dampen your appetite and you may lose weight. If you drink alcohol, you may find that you will have a pretty bad hangover from just a little bit of drink. You may also find that cola tastes bad, you no longer can drink more than one cup of coffee and you want to drink more water. I hope it helps your migraines. Topo can be a nasty drug for some, while others can handle it well. If you do decide to go off, you must taper slowly. Whetever you do, don't quit cold turkey. There is actually a lot of info on the internet for Topomax. Try a Google search for topomax side effects. Good luck!!
