I had nasty vertigo and zaps from withdrawal from Zoloft. I doubt it is anything 'serious' (as in life threatening) but don't hesitate to call or see a doc if it has become really bothersome. I know you recently went to the hospital -- any drugs you are withrawing from at the moment? If not it may be a side effect of either or both the celexa/lithium. Lithium can cause drowsiness and clumsiness (according to the ancient PI sheet) -- so it me be the culprit; in which case you may eventually adjust. Again you should seek expert advice if it has become a real bother.
Antivert (Meclezine HCL) seems to help a lot with the bizarre sensations. This is also available OTC -- you'll find it in the
antiemetic(stomach flu) section at any pharmacy in the US. Might try taking it for a few days and then stopping and seeing if the symptoms come back. Fluid in the ears or as side effect of the medication I suspect it would provide some relief for you.Of course, the necessary *disclaimer* -- I am not a medical expert and have no training in this field, I have merely been in similar situations before. Best of luck Link, hang in there!
** As a side note - I really have appreciated your diligence in keeping us updated on your situation . Though I have not, and never will, personally known you; I have frequently found myself wondering how you are doing. So it is good to see that at the moment your biggest problem is vertigo. You have my prayers -- Matt.
