Cymbalta's ratio of norepinepherine:serotonin is 1:10. Effexor's N:S is 1:30. Milnacipran's N:S ratio is SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT AT 3:1--VIRTUALLY NO SIDE-EFFECTS. Milnacipran, an SNRI, is currently in Phase III clinical trials for treatment of Fibromyalgia and neurogenic pain in general. It was has been used VERY SUCCESSFULLY as an SNRI antidepressant [only] in many foreign countries for SEVERAL years. The U.S. patent is for the EXTENDED RELEASE formulation. WHY CAN'T WE GET THIS MEDICATION IN IT'S CURRENT 2X/DAY FORMULATION FOR DEPRESSION IN THE U.S. pending the [presumed] FDA approval and release of the XL formulation???
