Eskalith (450mg) and lithobid(300mg) are both slower-release versions. If you are getting bad diarrhea from them you might want to go to an immediate release form instead like Lithonate or the 300mg Eskalith. I've read that the slower release versions can cause *worse* diarrhea than the immediate release versions. When I took Eskalith 450 it was worse for me, and lithonate was more tolerable.
