I had the diarrhea, some nausea -- although not enough to worry about -- and some fairly mild headaches -- mild as in "Not Migraine", if that helps any. They went away, but only after I changed the way that I took the Cymbalta. And mostly have stayed away, although who knows whether the headache I have right this minute is caused by Cymbalta, less sleep than I really need last night, wearing my contacts all day in glare, or anything else?
When I first started taking Cymbalta, I took it the way I take my vitamins, and every other med I take: swallow them all down, then cut up my egg for breakfast. In other words, right before eating. The doctor told me to eat first, then take the Cymbalta. I was skeptical, at best, but it did make a difference. As soon as I started taking the Cymbalta AFTER eating, the diarrhea disappeared. (I was constipated for a while, but what seems to work for me is eating my egg, taking the Cymbalta, and then eating my toast. No problems.)
The nausea and the headaches were never that bad, but they're gone, too, except what are probably unrelated headaches. All the other transient effects are gone, too, like some initial sleep disturbances, etc.
Good luck, and it's worth sticking out if you can, see if this works for you.
