Hi:
Recalling back three to four years ago when I started the Zyprexa, ... at first 2.5 mg., but gradually moved up to the 10 mg. as my pdoc. advised. At the 10 mg., I was quite sedating but felt quite 'calming effect,' then afterwards started feeling 'depressive' feelings. Then, it might be wise for you to lower down the Zyprexa gradually, like 10 mg. one night and 15 mg. next day, and brings it down to the 10 mg., because a sudden reduction of psycho. meds. causing you feel awful next day.Besides the reduction of Zyprexa, older form of A.D., Trazodone which I've been taking for the past six months helping me a good sleep-pattern along with 'terrific' A.D. effect I've ever got. Then, if you would get some 'sleep-problem' due to 'less' Zyprexa effect, this med., Trazodone might be good. Although the Trazodone took quite awhile to work on, but in the long run, it's well worth to wait 'this' long. From reading here and there, a lot of people giving up the Trazodone because of sedation, but if you can afford to sleep a bit longer in the morning(gradually the sedation going away with time), try to ask your pdoc. for Trazodone which is milder and first of all, a 'good' anti-depressant, ... plus 'real' money-saving med.
