Rarely does any psychotropic, except the amphetamines, cause anxiety forever. Anxiety often is a sign it's "working" on your anxiety, and it tends to go away after a few weeks when your body is adjusted to the med.
And don't think you need to worry about taking a stimulant to be more sociable. Social anxiety disorder is about being too anxious, not being too introspective. If you think you need to talk more to others by taking a drug, you should probably realize that few people like to be friends with others who talk a lot. I don't talk much at all-- I listen. And I make a lot of good friends that way. If you talk a lot, people tend to avoid you/dislike you. I never am friends to people who talk a lot.
