If Paxil etc Are Only In Your System For a Short..

Posted by love bites again on October 25, 2004, at 19:19:15

If Paxil and other antidepressants are only in your system for a short time, then why do the side effects when you're coming off of them, last for so long?
I'm now down to a a quarter of a Paxil a day (trying to get off of it entirely), but the profuse sweating is ever present (as it has been since I began Paxil 5 years ago). The worst time is when I get out of the shower, no matter whether it was a warm shower or cool, the sweating starts immediately when I get out and lasts for what seems like forever. I have to stand in front of a fan for Pete's sake! When will this stop?! Am I the only one who's had this side effect from Paxil? I figured that once I began coming off of it, the sweating and other annoying side effects would lessen, but so far - uh uh.
