AMISULPRIDE users H1 Histamine receptor - Help!

Posted by TomG on October 22, 2004, at 22:33:05

I have recently tried to add Provigil 200mg to my low dose Geodon of 20mg to overcome heavy sedation. It was unsucessful. On day one of Provigil I added 1500mg l-tyrosine and 50mg P5P and got mini panic attacks all day long. On day two I left the l-tyrosine and P5P out, but I begain to feel like I was having flu like symptoms, spaciness, anxiety, my eyes were bugging out, and just generally felt like crap on it. It didn't help the sleepiness at all either. I know I need an antipsychotic and I noticed that Amisulpride doesn't effect the H1 histamine receptor which is thought to be the culprit of Geodon sedation. Have any users of Amisulpride experienced sedation? Or does anyone have any other strategy on how to get ride of the sleepiness. (Histamine agonist?) I don't know if traditional stimulants can be tried, because I also get panic now with just coffee. Its weird, because this never happened pre-Geodon. I also didn't get the sedation until two months into taking Geodon. Thats also wierd. I'm also thinking of trying Abilify again (akathisia) at low dose, but it also hits the H1 receptor. Maybe my sleepiness stems from something else other than the blockade of the H1, but I think I'm going to have to try something else. Where do I get Amisulpride etc. etc.? Tell me all about it. I've given Zyprexa a whirl before too and it didn't help like the Geodon. Please I welcome ideas. I thought Provigil worked for everyone. Damn
