Lithium stopped

Posted by Squiggles on October 10, 2004, at 8:11:05

I am happy to report that
stopping the 900mg lithium
addition to the normal imipramine
dose, has resulted in immediate
improvement of symptoms --
the skin is pink/healthy, the
appetite is back, physical
energy improved, no tremor.

My friend is still on imipramine
and clonazepam. Again, i am
quite surprised at the addition
of that dose of lithium, but
that may be because i always read
that an adjunct drug is on the low
side - say 300 or 600 mg of li.

Alternatively, there may be
another reasons why the lithium
became toxic - i guess it can't
be the liver because it is not
metabolized.

I hope that her health improves now.
She looked extremely ill.

Thanks for reading -- any insights
welcome.
