This is a question i wanted to know the answer to also.

I was always under the impression that Benzos do their job from the very first pill and don't get any better than that.

I have also come across a hand full of people though who claim that the actual SOCIAL part of their anxiety took a few weeks to subside.

Maybe this is simply getting used to not having the anxiety.

What the benzos do really well is to calm down a persons immediate feelings, what it can't do is make the person forget how they have functioned previously.

The apprehension within a social situation and the fear of it both beforehand and during will still be there even with the benzo, but it is as the person realises subconsciously that it no longer debilitates them, that the full ease in social situations will kick in.
