no, i think they would be better for PFC activation as most TCA's block NE reuptake and the NE transporter removes dopamine from the synaptic clefts in the frontal cortex. I think also that enhancing serotonin vs. enhancing norepinephrine or dopamine has drastically different cognitive effects. I think 5HT enhances shifting of attention but disrupts concentration to some extent, while catecholamines have the opposite effect.
