As with partlycloudy,It's taken a loooong time for me to get the full benefit of effexor. The yawning is a pain, I know. It still bugs me. Objectively, I am doing much better on effexor. I think it's been about 5 or 6 months to get full benefit, and it still keeps getting better and the side effects are much more tollerable. I figure, the longer you are on it, the longer your body has to adjust. My sensitive system seems to take a very long time to adjust, which may be why this med is actually working since I have stuck with it for some time. Good luck, whatever you decide
