I'm posting for the first time here; not sure if I'm doing it right. I've been on antidepressants for most of my adult life. For almost twelve years I was on Noretriptiline and Nardil, a very explosive, non recommended combo. Needless to say, I did well on it. In the last three years I kept trying to go off Nardil, and finally succeeded in January 04. Went on Celexa, felt AMAZING, and then stopped having a decent memory. I'm in graduate school, and the memory thing is intolerable. Since, I've tried effexor, lexapro (I'm still on Noretriptyline) to no avail. It seems the SSRI's trash my memory. Now I'm on 2.5 mil of Lexapro and Noretriptiline. To make a long story even longer, the new doctor thinks I'm bi-polar III-IV and wants me to try Lamictal. I'm not crazy about this idea, i.e rash, and extreme sensitivity to meds. My brother's on zoloft and doing very well. My major sympton is fatigue and some depression, but I'm in school and I run around like a fiend. Anybody would be tired. But I would like to have more energy. Sorry to go on for so long, but everyone here is quite knowledgable. PS While on Nardil, I had a very trigger like temper. I always thought this was a character flaw, and I constantly worked on it. Since trying Celexa and going off Nardil, I am way less reactive and impatient and hard to get along with. Go figure?
