Effexor and Dysthymia.

Posted by Spiff on September 26, 2004, at 10:12:55

Looking for any comments regarding the use of Effexor with a diagnosis of dysthymia. I started on the 75 mg. dosage three weeks ago. I have experienced some jitteryness, waking up early from a nights sleep, mild dehydration (I drink more water now), strange (but not necessarily bad) dreams and mid-day tiredness. Since it is hard to nap at work I found that a 20 minute walk helps clear the fatigue. I am taking this along with counceling and walking as an exercize routine. Moods swing mildly from "the clouds are lifting" to "its another down day". On the up side I think I am able to stick to projects with more focus.
