Amisulpiride and other AP's do the opposite thing (roughly) to what AD's do. Amisulpiride blocks dopamine from D2 & D3 recpeptors blocking some of it's actions. SSRI's + Amphetamines would very roughly simulate an MAOI.
I think Nardil, Parnate & Marplan raise serotonin, norepinephrine & dopamine the same amount at first as MAOI's. The differences are that Nardil then acts at gaba receptors as a secondary thing to being an MAOI, Parnate is amphetamine like skewing it towards boosting NE & dopamine further & finally Marplan is between the other two because it probably has no secondary effects like the other two.
Clomipramine seperates itself from SSRI's for OCD because you can go to very high doses without fear of serotonin syndrome because it acts as it's own antidote by being a 5-HT2A antagonist. According to Dr. Gillman at http://www.psychotropical.com/ you are ten times less likely of getting SS with clomipramine useage then you would with SSRI useage. Unfortuneately, you might find clomipramine hard to tolerate, I think you would be better served using an SSRI or Effexor combined with Risperdal or Zyprexa as the 5-HT2A blocker.
Cheers,
Paul.
