SAD, Lamictal, Klonpin, Concentration

Posted by kellym on September 13, 2004, at 18:48:13

Hello everyone,

I have Social Anxiety Disorder- I have been taking Wellbutrin XR with Lamictal with pretty good results in terms of depression and general mood. The problem is my concentration. It's really bad. I realize the Lamictal probably isn't helping (300mg) in this regard, but I think it's still a problem even without it. I tried Concerta initially with great results, but my anxiety went way up after about two weeks (like I drank Way Too Much coffee). I started taking Klonopin daily (before this I only took it particular situations). In regards to SAD, this works great. I'm surprised how much more I keep my head up and look people in the eye. I'm knocking on wood that it doesn't increase depression. The problem is finding a med for concentration. Any ideas about this...something that helps, without increasing anxiety too much- Adderall, ritalin, etc. I don't think my insurance company would go for Provigil(sp?).
