Alex:
I've been taking Lexapro, Dexedrine and Klonopin for over a year with no adverse effects. Klonopin is a benzodiazapine - a "relative" to Valium. It's quite effective for anxiety. Valium is actually more effective but doctors have been prescribing it less frequently because of its addictive potential. Klonopin seems to have become the benzo of choice because it is less addictive. Putting the addiction subject aside, I'm nearly 100% certain that you'll find Valium VERY effective for your anxiety. Fear not. Take the Valium now and get out of your anxious state! You can talk to your doc about alternatives (such as Klonopin) if you want to. And being calmer due to the Valium, you'll be in better shape to do so.
