> I again had another really bad vertigo attack today... two today so far. It has to be the trileptal, I can think of no other reason. I am so nauseated right now. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?? Will it stop?? I'm only on 600 MGS for crying out loud and am supposed to go up to 1200 MGS! This is a good medicine, but not at this price, I can't even sleep at night!
hello there, chemist here....i do make it a policy to try to address posts directed at me, even ones for which i am of little to no help....sorry, but my answer to this problem is very likely similar if not identical to yours: either back off the trileptal or discontinue, reintroduce at a slower rate, and keep if results are satisfactory, discard if vertigo continues. i believe at least one other poster has recommended a trip to an ENT specialist: c'est possible? i would rule out physical causes while cutting back on trileptal and certainly before discarding it, as it seems to be helping you. as a stop-gap measure, how about an anti-vertigo med, such as the aptly-named Antivert? all the best, chemist
