Please don't give up. This is not an option. I am on Lexapro, Buspar, Topamax and take klonopin prn. I am far from heaven, but I am not in the flames of rock bottom depression as I was.
What was your dx? Are u bipolar or unipolar? Maybe you needed a new mix of meds?
Also, before I was on meds, I took Magnesium for depression. It did help, but my depression was so severe - SAMe didn't effect it at all. Read this about magnesium. http://www.newtreatments.org/Hypomagnesia/ga/203
In regard to the antidepressants that you listed, did you give them at least 7 weeks trial? Buspar didn't kick in for me until the 6 week. It worked like a mild antidepressant and seems to work very well with Lexapro.
