Same situation. I wrote my strattera trials below on some older dates last month and the beginning of this month. After experimenting with it for near7 weeks, i was more depressed i have been in a long time, and slept.
after 7 days being off it I am getting better every day.
I am learning that some drugs for instance lets say you are taking a dopamine inititave drug to increase your motivation and pleasure responses.Drugs can stimulate or fail to stimulate dopamine receptors.
In contrast to dopamine agonists, dopamine antagonists are drugs that bind but don't stimulate dopamine receptors. Antagonists can prevent or reverse the actions of dopamine by keeping dopamine from attaching to receptors.I have had these problems expermenting with many meds and wonder why I either feel bad or no change at rock bottom.
Your doctors knows which biochemicals he needs to alter, just keep giving him feed back.
I am really excited about being in a medical research program. Before I's see my p-doc once every 6 weeks. This means I had to stay miserable for 6 weeks. No I see my p-doc once or twice a week. We have mads changes much quicker if there are symptoms that short half life drugs are taking me backwards. Ihave learned more and have acomplished more in 6 weeks then i have in 3 years just by increasing the consultation time.
