DYSTHYMIA-WHAT IS IT? TREATMENT?

I was told about this today from a friend of mine. She had just learned about it today, and it is described as a persistent feeling
of mild depression that lasts at least 2 years, and can exist with Major Depressive Disorder.

I would like to know more about this condition, if anyone has experience with it, or has treated it. Thanks in advance.
