AD's when combined with cholesterol medication

Posted by BRC on July 28, 2004, at 18:58:50

Hi, I take 60mg Lexapro, 4mg Klonopin, 600mg of Trileptal for depression anxiety and severe OCD.
My family doc. just switched my cholesterol lowering medication from Tricor to Lipitor because my cholsterol was still high and not coming down.

I am a 28 year old male and I stay very active and exercise regularly and eat a low fat diet. I take the appropriate dietary supplemts and a 81mg aspirin a day to help with the cholesterol.

I know that Lipitor works heavily on the liver. I was wondering if all the medication I am taking is putting a heavy burdern on my liver and kidneys. I have no history of liver or kidney disease. But my doctors say that I will probably be on the above medicine regime for the rest of my life. I just wanted to know how bad this is for the body.

I would appreciate anyones input or info. Thanks

BRC
