Thanks for the info. I know everyone has to find the right meds for their body and I think that is hard to do. So far, so good with Buspar. I tried Lexapro last year and it gave me extreme panic/anxiety attacks. It's been a while since I tried Prozac, but I remember not liking that either. Zoloft seemed to be the only SSR that was ok, but didn't feel it was helping like it should after a while. Not really sure about Wellbutrin since I stopped that thinking that's what was causing the electrical zaps. Anyway, thanks again.
> Hi there, Buspar can be a very good medication. My brother has used Buspar for a long time with good effects. The only thing about it is that it takes time to work, weeks in fact. give it time to work and hopefully you'll start to notice the effect. As far as your effexor withdrawal is concerned, maybe consider taking another SSRi for awhile and then tapering off of that if you want to go SSRI/SSNRI free. Effexor is absolutely notorious for having a painful w/d syndrome, and a good dose of Prozac or Lexapro may help you for a couple monthes and also be easier to taper. Just my 2 cents, thanks
