> Hello, I am going off of Paxil. I know I can come off of it pretty fast with Prozac but the washout time for Prozac is 5 weeks I think. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else can be used to assist with the withdrawls? I do take Clonazepam. But how much of that can you take? I have been taking Paxil for about 3 years. I have been told that my dose is high for Paxil. It is 80mg. It hasn't always been this high. Just started losing its effectiveness. I am at 75 now and I can tell. The shakes, anxiety and so forth. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, bluebird

Hi Bluebird,

80mg is pretty hefty, it's probably because you are a fast metabolizer. If you are going on to another SSRI, I would cross taper on to it. If you are going to try drug free, then Prozac is the only answer.

Cheers,
Panda.
