I can't answer your question for sure, but I don't think being on Neurontin is a guarantee. I have seen several people become psychotically manic (mixed-state) while taking Neurontin. I was taking Lamictal 200mg the last time I experienced an AD-induced manic reaction. Neurontin by itself is not supposed to be a good mood stabilizer, but I know a few doctors who have been doling it out like aspirin for years.

If you are prone to AD-induced mania, I think you should keep some Zyprexa, Risperdal, or Depakote close by just in case.
