> Hi all, I recently starterd to take Luvox (was on Lexapro prior- yesterday was my first day on the Luvox). I have also recently started taking Trazodone about a week or so ago as well for sleep. So far, I really like the trazodone... except for one thing. Combined with Luvox, it's a heck of alot stronger acting!!!! For example, I took my one pill of Trazodone yesterday and within 30 minutes, I felt intoxicated! I had an elevated heart rate, and was dizzy, yet at the same VERY VERY tired (if that makes sense!)... Slept soundly (despite the overwhelming heat here in MN). What the heck?? At any rate, I can take a 1/2 tab or full tablet of Trazodone according to my PDOC... should I jsut go down to a small dose (half a tab)... i mean, I guess the feeling massively drunk was a little disconcerting AND I'm suppsoed to increase my Luvox dose over the next couple of weeks. Wno knows, maybe i won't need the Trazodone afterall... any insight as to why the trazodone would feel so much stronger... maybe it's just my imagination.
hello there, chemist here....i am cribbing from one of my texts in reporting that luvox may increase serum concentrations of (among lots of other things) trazodone. you might want to reduce the dose of trazodone - in consult with your doctor, of course - if the feeling persists. all the best, chemist
