I, too agree with you. Despite a weight gain, your son needs appropriate dosage of Zyprexa.
When I decreased to 2.5 mg. from the 5 mg. zyprexa, my moods were in a big mess because of 'lack of sleep' combined with 'irritability.'
then, I went right back to the original dosage. In my case, luckily or not, I didn't gain a weight except just a few pounds.While I was 'lurking' here, about a couple of weeks ago, I read someone with Bp I who has been taking *20 mg.* Zyprexa along with other meds. one of which was Adderal/similar to Ritalin. Then, I just wonder how this person dealing with 'weight issue' associated with Zyprexa. If you would happen to bump into this poster, you'd better to get some 'good' opinion as to 'weight issue.'
Hopefully, someone else could offer 'good' alternative to Zyprexa.
