Lamotrigine ... and spelling

Posted by AMD on July 14, 2004, at 11:21:32

Folks, up to 100 mg on the Lamotrigine, and I've noticed some difficulties with word recall and, in particular, spelling skills. As if my brain is fumbling the syllables. (See, I just went to spell that as syllabals...! I am typically a great speller!)

Is this a side-effect of the medication? I'm also on Celexa, up to 60 mg, for bipolar II. Is perhaps the increase in Celexa responsible for this slight decrease in word recall, concentration, and the blips in my spelling skills?

And I'm still a bit depressed ... but nowhere near as bad as I was a few weeks ago.

Thanks,
a
