The only side effect I know of from taking enough thyroid supplements to make your TSH very low would be osteoporosis. It doesn't cause jitteriness the way hyperthyroidism does. I'm curious to know what this experimental treatment is for, but I'm not asking, as I am aware that you did not volunteer that information.
Some people with fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain who have had traumatic injury develop "geloid masses" over their muscles and trigger points. T3 mediates the masses. Incidentally, I tried the transdermal T3 last night for the first time, and woke up with sweat pouring out of the top and back of my head. Would you have any explanation for that? Will talk to the doctor tomorrow.
