It takes effect right away, and it only needs a couple days to reach a steady state in your body.

I feel the effects are more pronounced the first couple of weeks especially in relation to mood and the mild euphoria.

Otherwise, eventually it just works in the background because it primarily keeps you awake, and if you are already awake you might wonder if the drug is being of any use. Not until you hit your low energy periods of the day or are extending yourself in concentration will you realize its therapeutic effect.

On the other hand, some people are just aware of its effect every second of its therapeutic window. I would consider them the more sensitive people or maybe they take a potent dose relative to themselves.

I take 100mg a day which is modest.
