I was wondering about setting up an appointment with my GP (a.k.a. my Flonase lady)-- and claiming I had terrible allergies, and my eyes were watery, to make sure I got off Flonase and went on Zyrtek.
A friend of mine takes it, and he's given me one. 10-20 minutes later, my nose is clear and I say good-bye to using my nasal irrigator for a half hour each day.
My GP has put me on Rhinocort in the past, a nasal spray corticosteroid for my post-nasal drip. I switched to Flonase after that stopped working after a year or so (maybe less). But switching doesn't resolve the fact my nasal passages feel like clogged pipes and I feel like I can't breathe at night. (Nighttime makes it intolerable, since I'm lying in bed then).
But now with Remeron, even my nasal irrigation system doesn't prevent a stuffy nose at night. Should I bother making an appt. with my GP, or hope my p-doc is gracious enough to put me on it? I've talked myself out of buying it online, after seeing it costs $240 without a prescription.
I hate asking docs for antidotes... sigh.
