hello, chemist here. first off, as i have promised, i will not diclose any synthetic routes involving any illicit drugs. here is what i can offer you. pseudoephedrine is the beta-hydroxy precursor to methamphetamine, and there is no problem with chirality. ther are abotu 200 synthetic routes, and one of which i will not diclose is the safest and fastest with the most potent yield. the deal with PE is that is small does, it does what it should do: bronchodilate. however, it is sold is very high doses, and thus the iliicit manufacture. the reason is it included in OTC anti-histamines is that the anti-histamine itself will but you to sleep. the PE is there to keep you awake. as for binding affinities, d-amphetamine >> l-amphetamine >= methylphenidate >> PE. all the best, chemist

However, I would place high bets that if I were to snort a bit of cocaine, I would FALL RIGHT TO SLEEP while everyone else is bouncing off the walls and going all psychotic!!!
