maxime, are serious in dose of 60 mg parnate? this is extreme and very dangerous, especially with a CNS such as ritalin. apparently your depression is atypical, or otherwise, you'd be dead. period. i actually cannot think of any reason why you should not have had (at least) a stroke. i HIGHLY SUGGEST you have a talk with your doctor concerning MAOI-A meds and stimulants. please do not let this tslip away.....all the best, chemist
> Thanks Chemist. I know that the two meds are contraindicated. My pdoc knows as well of course. But we grasping at straws here since I have been on well over 30 meds and I remain depressed. The Parnate does help more than any other med has, but I am still often in a depressed state. My blood pressure is on the low side and so adding the Ritalin didn't seem as risky. Plus, I decreased my Parnate from 80 mg to 60 mg when I start the ritalin.
