Six mg of clonazepam/day is an awful lot for most people, and 16 mg would be a very large amount unless it's being used for epilepsy. Obviously responses vary, and this is something to discuss with your doctor, but "typical" doses are in the 1-2 mg/day range. Also, the long half-life of clonazepam makes once-a-day dosing feasible for many people.
I don't have any sedation etc. with 1 mg, but I suspect that 6 (or especially 16) would pretty much knock me out. Two mg/day is about my limit, and it's very rare that I take that much. But again, everyone responds differently.
I haven't checked into the relative potencies of clonazepam versus diazepam lately, but my understanding is that diazepam is one of the most potent benzos. Even low doses have very strong (and unpleasant) effects for me, although others do very well with it, and it's the "original" benzo.
