I've tried wellbutrin and lexapro, but don't feel I suffer from depression - mostly anxiety and minor panic attacks here and there -- the only thing I've ever found to help my stomach spasms when they happen is Xanax, but as everyone knows, doctors don't like to prescribe it... Any thoughts on buspar??

Buspar did not help me with my digestive-system manifestations of anxiety. Klonopin did, and your doctor might be more willing to prescribe this one.

Another type of med to consider if you are having pain in your GI tract would be a TCA. The GI specialist I went to told me he prescribes 10 mg amitriptyline to his patients who have problems with their upper GI tract (nausea, uncomfortable feelings of 'fullness', etc.) and I can attest to the fact that when I started nortriptyline (closely related to ami) at 20 mg (well below antidepressant dosage) it worked as a fantastic analgesic, anti-nauseant and it has anti-panic properties too.
