I think we are the only 2 people who have LOST weight on Paxil. As far as I know, the CR version is metabolized in the intestine, therefore, helping to decrease the negative effects on the stomach many people experience. Also CR is supposed to help lessen side effects in general.
Ive read at another website "crazymeds.com" that once youve stopped and restarted Paxil it does not have the same effect.
Ive been off and on Paxil & Paxil CR for 7 years (currently off). I preffer regular Paxil. With my last Paxil run I combined both versions. I see my pdoc tomorrow and will ask him to put me back on Paxil(I think). Changing Meds causes anxiety for me in itsef. Im SURE he will want to go with the CR. He feels that the long acting drugs are superior for me because they avoid the ups and downs throughout the day. Mood swings are a major problem for me.

What dose of CR are you on now?
What dose of "regular" were you on Ppreviously?

Best Wishes,
Cindy
