Hi gingee,

It sounds like you have a complicated medical condition. I do too, and sometimes I feel very alone because of it. (I have a brain tumor which causes a bunch of problems.) Charm posted a very nice message that should also help.

What kind of seizures do you have? If you don't feel comfortable telling, then please don't. If at all possible I would suggest seeing a neuropsychiatrist. They can help with seizure disorders associate with psychiatric problems.

Also I remember reading about an expert in epileptic psychiatric disorders, who seemed to think that a combination of two antidepressants--an older tricyclic antidepressant and a newer SSRI like Zoloft. Do a search for "interictal dysphoric disorder" and you should find some related information.

I suggest you talk to your doctor about adding an older TCA (tricyclic) antidepressant. I have not personally tried this, as my symptoms are very different, but it is worth a shot.

Don't be hard on yourself about this problem--it is not your fault.
